Rent Your Own Christmas Tree
What is a rented Christmas Tree?
It is our approach to a more sustainable Christmas! We love the concept and hope you will too.
Our rented Christmas trees are grown in pots from small saplings, therefore they are not very big when we first rent them out, in fact over their life, in a pot they are unlikely to exceed 5 foot.
The tree will stay with you over Christmas (no longer than 3-4 weeks) ensuring it is well watered and looked after and then returned to the farm in the week or 2 after Christmas.
We like the idea of a Christmas tree growing up with the family and therefore allow the same tree to be rented back each year. The tree should have a life of around 5 years in the pots at which point they will have to be planted in the ground, either in our Christmas tree field for experiences held at the farm or in your own garden!
How does it work?
1. After booking online you will need to visit the farm shop at least a week in advance of your collection date, from Monday to Saturday, 9am to 4pm.
2. You will be given a tag and directed to the field to select your tree - the sooner you visit the more choice you will have!
3. Return and visit your tree as often as you like before collecting from the farm shop during opening hours on your collection date. (We will lift and net your tree ready for your collection date).
4. Look after, decorate and boast about your sustainable tree before returning it to the farm shop on your return date during opening hours - let us know if you'd like to have it back next year or if you'd like to get your deposit back.
Prices (measured from top of pot to top of tree):
Rented trees up to 3 foot £15 (no gap payment)
Rented trees over 3 foot £20 (£5 gap payment)
Rented trees over 4 foot £25 (£10 gap payment)
When collecting your tree we will take a £30 deposit for new customers and if your tree exceeds 3 foot there will also be a gap payment to be made (see prices above).
Alternatively we can retain your deposit and you can have the same tree back the following year with the rental charge only required.
If you live in a CM2 postcode and would like your tree delivered please discuss this with a staff member when visiting the farm shop.
